2017 Canadian Photography Workshops

In 2017, Canada will be celebrating 150 years since our Confederation. In anticipation of this historic milestone, Northof49Photography is putting together a few once in a lifetime adventures for photographers that want to see the beauty that Canada has to offer the world. Over the coming weeks and months we will be announcing these trips. Please check back periodically to read about these fantastic opportunities.

Introduction: Join Kevin for his weekend retreats in the Kawartha Region of Ontario. Kevin will be guiding you on the water to photograph your target species for the weekend, the Common Loon.

Autumn Aurora Hunt

Workshop is September 17, to September 23, 2017

Introduction:  Join us up near the aurora capitol of the world, Whitehorse... where the skies present the dancing lights, the landscapes are endless and Bison are known to create whats known as the Canadian Roadblock. We will center this trip around Whitehorse and daily head out into the countryside to capture the history and auroras, and one of Canada's post picturesque areas.

Southern Yukon Landscapes and aurora

Workshop is September 10 to September 16, 2017

Introduction:  Join me up near the arctic circle where the skies present the dancing lights, the mountain landscapes are endless and the moose out number the people of the Yukon almost two to one. We will center this trip around Whitehorse and Daily head out into the countryside to capture the history, and one of Canada's post picturesque areas.

Fall Colours in Canada

Dates of the Workshop: October 15th, 2017 to October 21nd, 2017

Join Chris Pepper and Kevin Pepper on our fall color in Canada workshop in our backyard, Ontario, Canada. Together we will travel from the Great Lakes, visit the Waterfall Capitol of the World and head north to the Iconic Algonquin Park. You will be introduced to some stunning scenery and some of our local wildlife such as owls, red fox, bald eagles, Moose, Elk and Pine Marten.

Introduction:  With more lighthouses per square mile of any coastline in North America, the lighthouse route in Nova Scotia offers the photographer an abundance of lighthouses and small east coast fishing villages to capture. Introduction:  This 7 day 6 night trip is designed to give you the opportunity to photograph all the diversity that the Pacific Northwest in Canada has to offer. From black bears to Grizzly Bear, transient and resident Orca, and migratory whales, we will put you in teh right place to capture all these magnificent wildlife. You will also be photographing golden hour landscapes along the seaside and traveling into some of the tallest rain forests in British Columbia.

Photograph Canada's largest herd of Bison

Introduction: This is a true Northern Canada Safari on the Wild West Side of Prince Albert National Park. In addition to viewing the free ranging bison, you may also encounter wolves, elk, moose, deer, bears and countless birds and waterfowl.
