Day 1 Saturday

Today we will check you into your hotel in Whitehorse after your arrival. We will have a group dinner and explain where we will be visiting this week, and what you can expect.

If the northern lights are out and the skied co-operate, we will head out to one of our locations to photograph the aurora over one of the secluded lakes north of Whitehorse.

Day 2 Sunday

Today we head to Kluane National Park. This is a World Heritage Site. If you've ever imagined standing amidst a sweeping landscape of mountain valleys carved by glaciers and sprinkled with alpine wildflowers, you will get to live your dream in Kluane National Park and Reserve of Canada. An icon of North America and the centrepiece of the Kluane region in Yukon, Kluane National Park and Reserve is one of our natural treasures and was declared a World Heritage Site in 1979.

Encompassing breathtaking views of lush valleys, mountain ranges and the world’s largest non-polar icefields, Kluane National Park and Reserve of Canada is part of the largest internationally protected wilderness area in the world. Four interconnecting wilderness parks in British Columbia, Alaska and the Yukon are designated a World Heritage Site. The traditional territories of the Champagne-Aishihik, Kluane and White River First Nations all lie in this region, including Canada's tallest mountain – Mount Logan.

If the northern lights are out and the skied co-operate, we will head out to one of our locations to photograph the aurora over one of the secluded lakes north of Haines at Kluane Lake or Destruction Bay.

Day 3 Monday

Today we will see Kluane from above. A spectacular 75 minute flight deep in the heart of Kluane. Many of Canada’s highest peaks are here, in the stupendous St.Elias Mountains. Amongst these giants, Mount Logan rises to 19,545 feet above sea level (5959 meters). It is surrounded by the world’s largest non-polar ice-fields.

When we are not flying we will be visiting many of the area lakes that are framed by the Elias Mountain Range. We will be taking reflection photos and working with our filters to create stunning reflections on the glacier fed lakes.

Day 4 Tuesday

After an early morning photoshoot on Kathleen Lake, we will grab breakfast and head east again, back towards Whitehorse.

Today is a southern look trip to see Emerald lake, the Carcross Desert and the Atlin area of Yukon. Ater our tour for the day we will return to Whitehorse and check into our hotel grab some dinner and keep our eyes on the skies.

Day 5 Wednesday

It’s a local tour to the Wild animal preserve this morning. Today you will get a chance to photograph all of the animal species that exists in the Yukon in the animal preserve from ground level. This vast Wildlife Preserve is one of a kind and offers any photographer the opportunity to photograph the animals as you would see them in the remote corners of the Yukon.

We have a private bus to take us through the Preserve at our leisure and put you in the best spots to photograph the wildlife inside the park.

After that it’s a trip to the Hot Springs for a soak in the local hot springs before you are taken back to the hotel to get ready for our last group dinner.

If the skies co-operate we will head out for our last night of aurora viewing at one of our locations away from the crowds.

Day 6 Thursday

The airport shuttle takes you to the airport for your flight home.
