We will be running three junk yard workshop in 2016. One in teh winter, one in the spring and one in the fall. Please see all teh details below, and contact us if you have any questions regarding these workshops.

The workshop is on a 50acre+ junkyard in farmers fields and contains thousands of vehicles from Edsel's to heavy equipment, seventies muscle cars and tractor trailers and RVs

Workshop #1 is Saturday, February 6, 2016 and Sunday, February 7, 2016 is the rain date - February is a time of year when the ground is covered in a blanket of white, the rust and decay rises above the blanket of snow, and the photography opportunities make this unique location, something most people do not venture out to get.

Workshop #2 is Saturday, June 4, 2016 and Sunday, June 5, 2016 is the rain date - June is an exercise in opposites... beautiful spring flowers surround the old and decay

Workshop #3 is Saturday, October 22, 2016 and Sunday, October 23, 2016 is the rain date - October shows the fall colours surrounding the thousands of abandoned vehicles. It is also the time of year teh summer growth starts to fall over and, once again exposing the vehicles hidden by summer grass.

Introduction: We will meet Saturday morning to introduce you to the junk yard and the layout of the 50+ acres. After you have had the first opportunity to photogrpah the junkyard, we will head to our meeting location in Guelph to introduce you to some editing styles. Then head back to the junkyard for one more chance to photograph the abandoned vehicles in different light.

Details: We will meet on the Saturday morning at 8am and photograph the junkyard until 11am. After a brief introduction we will split into groups for a three hour photo shoot of the thousands of abandoned vehicles in the junk yard.

We will help you capture what can seem like a daunting landscape of abandoned cars, ponds and trees. From wide angle landscapes to segmenting a scene to finding photo opportunities in the smallest of details, we will help you walk away with some images that we will be able to work on when we are editing.

After your initial session at the junkyard we will head to our meeting location in Guelph for a two hour editing session. Here we will discuss styles like HDR and high key editing in photoshop and lightroom.

After your editing session adn a chance to see others images, we will head back to the junkyard at 3pm for another few hours to allow you to explore teh rest of the area, or retake some images you want to perfect.

You will have a total of six hours exploring the junkyard and two hours editing.
