Introduction: We will meet Friday night at sunset and gather out in the 50 acre junk yard to prepare for light painting of the abandoned vehicles and transports out in the junk yard. Sunday morning we will meet for a sunrise and morning photo shoot throughout the junkyard. On Sunday afternoon we will go to a meeting room for two hours and works with you on editing your photos in various High Key, black and white and HDR styles of editing.
Details: We will meet on the Saturday night at the junk yard at 7:30pm and split into groups of a maximum of ten people and head out into the junk yard at a few predetermined locations to give you a field tutorial on how to light paint objects at night.
From there you will split up on your own and try light painting on your own while Chris and Kevin wander around and help you with your own light painting.
On the next day we will meet at the junk yard at 7am for an early morning photo shoot of the thousands of abandoned vehicles in the junk yard. This photo shoot will run from 7am till 11am.
We will help you capture what can seem like a daunting landscape of abandoned cars, ponds and trees. From wide angle landscapes to segmenting a scene to finding photo opportunities in the smallest of details, we will help you walk away with some images that we will be able to work on when we are editing.
You will have four hours to spend with us as we wander the grounds, or head off on your own capturing the hidden gems throughout the grounds. Many of the hidden gems we have mapped and can lead you to some of the more unique captures that this location offers.
In the afternoon we will gather at 1pm at a nearby hotel in a meeting room. Here we will open up our laptops and help you with your post processing using NIK software, Photoshop, lightroom, bridge and Photomatix.
