The Latest Nikon Rumours - Finally a PRO crop sensor camera???

According to the latest rumors, the Nikon D300s successor is going to be a Nikon D9300... and coming soon.

Soooooo, all you Nikonians that were waiting for the Nikon D400, you should maybe shelve that hope and focus on what is rumored to be a very high end crop sensor camera.

This made me sit back and take a look at the Nikon line up to see how they are positioning the models... Here is what the Nikon camera line-up is rumored to now look like

D3XXX APS-C, the beginner cameras
D5XXX APS-C, the beginner camera with a few more features
D7XXX APS-C, the prosumer cameras
D9XXX APS-C, pro camera rumored to be on its way
DXXX full frame, semi-pro
DX full frame, pro

So you can see that the Nikon D9300 is sitting above the Nikon D7XXX series and Nikon will have a clear competitor on the market to compete against Canon's release of the 7D Mk II.

Will this maintain the user base and convert more users to the Nikon side? Only time, a clean launch and the results will tell
