Species Spotlight - The Canadian Kayaker... :-)

I had to mention this animal.... that unique combination of fearless attitude, adventurous spirit and sheer determination... and definitely very photogenic.

During our workshops up in the Kawartha Region we are lucky enough to be very close to an Olympic sized Kayak course. On any given day from spring through to fall we photograph at least half a dozen kayakers performing tricks and refining their skills in the many eddys that are throughout the course in a very picturesque setting.

Usually we show up and do some waterfall photography of some very fast moving cascades. Then mid day, a switch of the lenses and we are right into an afternoon of tricks, flips and awesome action photography.

You can learn more about these weekend workshops here. http://northof49photography.com/kawartha-loon-workshop

If you want, we also do one day workshops to teach you how to photograph action photography. This is an excellent way to learn how to handle harsh lighting conditions, high contrast colors and capture moving objects... to inquire about our one day lessons, please email us at kpepperphotography@outlook.com
