The 2014 Workshop Schedule at Northof49Photography

February 2014 - Iceland (4 spots taken, 2 spots remain) - this trip is running

Join me as I return to Iceland. Our focus will be the glacier pools, vast landscapes and the northern lights.

April 2014 - Yukon (only 5 spots available)

Join me as I head to Yukon. Our focus will be the mountains, vast landscapes and the northern lights.

April 2014 - Tanzania (2 spots are taken and a maximum of 7 spots are available)
Its our annual trip to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Tanzania. We stay in and around the Wildebeest migration just after the calving season and follow the predators as they follow the migration.

June 2014 - Newfoundland (2 spots taken, 2 remaining)

Imagine the feel the salt spray in your face as you journey out to remote Quirpon Island amidst the dolphins and whales. As you land in the cove, imagine you are returning home to the sod huts, thousands of years old, which lay undisturbed here. Forge a link with ancient humans as you stand in the remains of their huts overlooking the cove and picture the tiny beach coming to like as it was eons ago.

June 2014 - Lighthouse tour in Nova Scotia

We are doing a 6 day scouting trip in June of 2014 (23rd to 28th inclusive) to the south shore of Nova Scotia. We will start in Halifax and wind down the south shore lighthouse route shooting locations like Peggy's Cover, Lunenberg, Yarmouth, Kejimkujik National Park and Digby... our focus are the lighthouses along the south shore route.

July 2014 - Provence and Paris (sold out)
This is a semi-private workshop with only space for four photographers. Right now there are only two spots left as we spend half a week photographing lavender and the Camargue horses before we head north to capture the city of lights and love.

August 2014 - Tofino, British Columbia (7 spots remaining)
Tofino is on the west coast of Vancouver Island. We are headed there in that magical time when the seasons change and the sea fog creates a special environment that all photographers will never forget. This year we are headed to Tofino with Ellen Anon.

August 2014 - Sea to Sky Highway in BC

Travel with us along the 85 mile stretch of the Sea-to-Sky corridor (Highway 99) from Vancouver to just north of Whistler in the summer of 2014. Join us as we discover scenic ocean vistas, soaring mountains, dramatic waterfalls, bustling communities and many hidden gems we have uncovered, having lived in British Columbia and exploring the area.

September 2014 - Paris, France (8 spots taken and 4 spots available) - this trip is running
This will be my 8th time in Paris and I never get tired of walking through the streets and capturing the essence of the Parisian sights and sounds. This year we are visiting Paris after the crowds die down and the fall colors begin to peak through in the parks. I hope you can join Deborah Sandidge as we spend a week in Paris in 2014.

October 2014 - Mongolia (only 2 spots available) - this trip is running
Golden Eagles, traditional dress, mountains, Jim Zuckerman and the Gobi desert... a great recipe for a fantastic workshop in Mongolia. This is going to be my return visit to Mongolia as I have a workshop that is set to go in July of 2013 to see the Naadam Festival.

October 2014 - Venezuela
This will be another return trip to Venezuela as we visit Lake Maracaibo and the Andes Mountains. We will be focusing in on the wildlife, birds, butterflies, landscapes and the natural wonder of the Catatumbo Lightening.

November 2014 - Bald Eagle Workshops Columbia
I lived in this area and I shake my head that I ever left... its a photographers playground. We will be running workshops during the Bald Eagle migration as they flock to feed on the migratory salmon in the Fraser Valley.

I hope you consider joining me and my fellow photographers. 2014 is looking to be a great year as we visit some amazing destinations.
